FAQ For Families
Who is beverly right for?
Beverly is ideal for modern families who want to reduce the stress of managing childcare and ensure their children are cared for by the best. Whether you’re a busy professional, entrepreneur, or someone seeking a reliable childcare setup, our team is here to design and manage solutions tailored to your family’s needs while keeping you in full control.
Why should I hire Beverly instead of doing it on my own?
Not only do we eliminate the time-consuming tasks of searching, finding, vetting and coordinating qualified childcare providers, but with Beverly, you gain access to an elite assistant team and experts who relentlessly search for the best options—giving you peace of mind, saving 100s of hours of effort, and creating more time to enjoy with your family, while staying in full control.
How does the membership work?
Depending on the service package you select and the number of locations you need service for, membership includes a one time setup fee and monthly coordination fee. During your initial setup period, we work to build a reliable childcare team for you that is stabilized, and most of the heavy lifting (from learning about your preferences, screening most of the candidate pool in your locale to coordinating test-runs) will be done during this period. Once you reach a reliable setup, you can either take over the day-to-day management of your setup or continue with your membership to keep your scheduling coordinated and family team up-to-date with new hires or backup replacements to stay prepared at all times. You can cancel the service at any time, and if you do, you get to keep your existing caregivers in your family team at no additional cost.
How does working with Beverly differ from a traditional virtual assistant or staffing agency?
Beverly model builds continuous relationships with sitters across our entire client network, which greatly enhances accountability and reduces instances of sub-par performance by performance managing sitters. Also, Beverly is a team of specialized, expert advisors and coordinators who are trained with the latest practices & technology to build you a quality childcare setup. Unlike staffing agencies, we don’t just match you with candidates—we create an entire childcare team and coordination system you can rely on that is designed to adapt with your family. Our advisors and assistants are backed with an entire network of research analysts and proprietary tools to help them perform better and with higher quality than traditional options on the market today, so you get access to more top 1% childcare options, faster.
What are Beverly's selection criteria for its advisors and coordinators?
Like our childcare providers, we select fewer than 1% of available advisors and coordinators at the end of a rigorous process that includes multiple interviews, personality and aptitude assessments. Beverly advisors and coordinators go through trial periods and are constantly monitored by our team and your childcare advisor to make sure they deliver an outstanding setup with empathy and precision.
How are Beverly coordinators trained?
Every Beverly Coordinator undergoes extensive training to become a childcare expert in their local market. They are experts on finding, interviewing, selecting and coordinating caregivers that are top notch in your market. They are also experts in state-of-the-art productivity tools and coordination systems we use internally. They receive continuous support from our research analysts to ensure they can focus on delivering top-quality, timely coordination to our clients.
Does my childcare expense go up when I work with Beverly?
Quite the contrary. Unlike staffing agencies who take commissions or add extra fees on top of their provider fees, working with Beverly often reduces your overall childcare expenses while improving the quality and reliability of care. By eliminating trial-and-error costs, avoiding last-minute premiums for emergency care and optimizing your childcare setup within your budget, Beverly ensures you spend smarter. Our coordinators consistently look at your market to keep your provider expenses in check, and advise on cost-effective options like bringing mother's helpers, reducing downtime in your schedule and nanny-shares. We also help you avoid hidden costs of unreliable care, such as missed work or reduced productivity, while offering long-term savings through forward-thinking planning for school, camps, and coaching. For most of our clients Beverly is a strategic investment that delivers peace of mind, efficiency, and significant value.
What is included in Beverly membership fee?
The one-time setup fee covers the build-out of your childcare setup for your selected package, including:
- A detailed onboarding & budgeting session with your Beverly Advisor to understand your family’s needs and preferences.
- Sourcing and screening candidates depending on your plan (primary and backup sitters, nannies, mother's helper, pediatric nurse sitter and more).
- Creating and maintaining a personalized emergency backup list.
- Background checks and reference verifications on candidates.
- Managing initial placements and coordinating trial runs with selected caregivers.
The goal is to get you to a robust and stabilized setup as quickly as possible. You can then decide whether you want conclude your Beverly membership or continue to maintain your coordination and backup support. Either way, you get to keep your current family of caregivers.
What is NOT included in Beverly membership fee?
The setup fee does not cover:
- Salaries or payments to caregivers (babysitters, nannies or mother's helpers) or any expenses they incur while providing care for your family.
- Any add-ons explicitly not included in your service package.
What does the monthly coordinator support do for me?
After your initial setup period, the monthly membership offers seamless childcare coordination with benefits like:
- Continued access to your coordination team for maintaining and refreshing your setup for your locations.
- All chat, scheduling, team coordination systems you and your family team are already part of.
- Performance management for your family team
- Travel sitter help (based on package).
What is NOT included in the monthly coordinator support?
The monthly membership does not cover direct payments or salaries for any caregivers, or any expenses they incur while providing care for your family.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, installment plans are available to make it easier to manage your upfront setup. We work with Affirm to provide seamless installment options.
Why is Beverly pricing model different from agencies?
We believe the pure-agency model is broken. One-time staffing engagements are transactional, riddled with accountability issues and the variable fees agencies add on top of caregiver fees are unfair to the caregivers, as they artificially constrain demand and make performance management difficult. But more importantly, we believe families and caregivers need a much more robust system of selection, orchestration, scheduling and quality control to really solve the pain points they experience every day.
Does your pricing change for multiple kids?
No, our plan pricing is based on the setup packages rather than the number of kids.
How long is a typical onboarding?
Onboarding usually happens during your 1st week. We conduct a detailed review to understand your preferences and desired setup. Your assistant team then begins building your childcare setup right away. Depending on your plan and the extent of help you are looking to get, your team starts helping with your most urgent needs within days and your full, stabilized setup within weeks.
If I decide now, how long will it take for me to get onboarded?
It depends on your local Beverly team's capacity. We suggest reaching out several weeks before you think you want to get started on your setup. Once your membership is confirmed, your team typically schedules your onboarding kick-off within 2-4 business days.

What information can I keep if I decide to discontinue?
You can get all the information for your selected childcare providers at any time, including the end of your membership.
What is your policy around system security, privacy and confidentiality?
Beverly is built on comparable storage, encryption, client-advisor confidentiality and privacy protocols as the leading law, technology and service enterprises in the US. It depends on every family's needs. 10 hours of childcare sometimes requires a different setup than 40 hours.
