- Employment and financial information: budget parameters, compensation benchmarks discussed during intake, and payment information (processed securely through our third-party payment processor)
- Communications: emails, messages, and notes exchanged between you and your Beverly coordinator
- Search-related information: candidate evaluation notes, interview feedback, references provided, and hiring decisions
- Documents: employment contracts, household manuals, onboarding materials, and other documents created or shared during the course of our services
2.1A Call and Video Recording
Beverly may record telephone calls and video calls between you and your coordinator for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes. By engaging Beverly's services and participating in calls with your coordinator, you consent to the recording of those calls. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may notify your coordinator at the beginning of any call, and the recording will be disabled for that session. Recordings are retained in accordance with our data retention practices described in Section 6.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and general navigation patterns

- Providing our services: coordinating your childcare search, communicating with agencies on your behalf, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting your placement
- Coordinator continuity: maintaining a record of your family's preferences and history so that future engagements are more efficient, whether with the same coordinator or a new one
- Third-party service facilitation: sharing necessary information with background check providers, payroll services, and other partners to deliver services you have elected to receive
- Communication: contacting you about your engagement, service updates, and administrative matters
- Improving our services: analyzing usage patterns and feedback to improve Beverly's processes, templates, and offerings
- Legal compliance: meeting our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements
4. How We Share Your Information
Beverly does not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Nanny Agencies (On Your Behalf)
Your coordinator shares relevant information about your family and childcare needs with nanny agencies during the search process. This is done on your behalf, in your name, and with the intent of representing your interests. The agencies you engage with are subject to their own privacy policies.
4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers
We share information as necessary with trusted third-party providers who help us deliver our services, including:
- Background check providers — to conduct caregiver screening
- Poppins Payroll (or equivalent payroll service) — to facilitate household payroll setup
- Payment processor (Stripe) — to process your payments securely. Beverly does not store your full payment card information.
- Communication and scheduling tools (such as Calendly, Zoom) — to coordinate calls, meetings, and interviews
Each third-party provider processes your data in accordance with their own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
Beverly uses third-party providers that maintain their own privacy and security practices. We select providers that we believe maintain appropriate safeguards for personal information and, where required by applicable law, we enter into agreements that address the handling of personal information. However, Beverly is not responsible for the data security practices, breaches, or failures of any third-party provider. In the event that a third-party provider experiences a data incident affecting your information, Beverly will notify you as required by applicable law.
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4.4 Business Transfers

We will provide notification as promptly as practicable and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach.

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain your account, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. When determining how long to retain information, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, our legal and contractual obligations, and our legitimate business needs, including the continuity of service described in our Terms of Service and enabling efficient future engagements when families return to Beverly.
Coordinator notes, Family Briefs, and engagement records are retained within this period. When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, unless retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.
If you request deletion of your personal information, we will honor your request subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Your Privacy Rights
7.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act:
